How do I begin?
Register an account here or on a community server, take the Start tier, and build a page. Nothing needs to be installed on your computer and no card is required. When the page outgrows itself, move up a tier — the content moves with you.
Which tier do I need?
Roughly: Start for a personal page or subdomain, Standard for a full website on your own domain, Business or Creative for a store or a fan community with the larger toolset, Server when you want to host a community of your own. The four are described on the editions pages.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, from the Standard tier upward. You keep the domain in your own registrar account — it is yours, and pointing it elsewhere later is a DNS change, not a negotiation.
I already have a website. Can it be moved?
Usually yes: pages, catalogue and images can be transferred, with redirects from the old addresses so search rankings are not thrown away. How much work that is depends on what the old site runs on; a studio will look and tell you. What cannot be carried over is custom application code — that is a rebuild, not a migration.
Do I need to know HTML?
No. Content is edited in the admin panel — pages, articles, products, prices, photos — and the layout comes from the platform's templates. Knowing some HTML helps in places, the way it always does, but nothing routine requires it.
What language is the interface in?
The platform runs sites in any language, and both English and Russian sites are live today — this site is one of them. Note that the partner studios work mainly in Russian; write to them in English and they will answer.
How does the site look — do I get a template or a design?
Every site starts from the platform's built-in templates and colour themes, which is what the Start and Standard tiers use. If you want an exclusive design built around a brand, that is the Business and Creative territory and the work of the design studio — see the pricing FAQ.
What if I get stuck?
Write to us. If what you need is paid work rather than an answer, we will point you to the studio that does that part.
